Our Mission

At the Mayor of Southwark’s Common Good Trust, we are dedicated to bringing help and support to the most vulnerable members of the community in Southwark. We work to provide assistance in a variety of forms to those in need; we aim to help the poor and needy from the cradle to the grave.

For more than forty years we have worked to achieve these goals. Our work is carried out entirely by a board of unpaid trustees.

Who we help

We aim to help individuals and families on the basis of need; we are committed to never turning away the needy on any basis of ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, or sexuality.

Several examples of people who have received our support can be found on our donations page.

Our Trustees

Our board of trustees is made up of several councillors from the London Borough of Southwark, as well as the MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark, and Lord Kennedy of Southwark. Our other trustees are volunteers who have experience working in charities.

You can find a full list of trustees on our it on the About Us page, or on the MSCGT Charity Commission page.
